Inaugural Edition

June 18 – 21, 2026

Historic Downtown Frederick, MD

(updated May 7, 2026)

What is Silvervox Film & Music Festival?

SilverVox Film & Music Festival is a four-day collision of independent film, live music, and creative energy taking place June 18-21, 2026, across the theaters, venues, and streets of Downtown Frederick, MD. It’s a festival built for discovery: dark rooms, loud stages, unexpected conversations, and stories that stay with you long after the lights come up.

SilverVox Film & Music Festival is produced by SilverVox, a nonprofit arts organization focused on amplifying independent voices and building experiences where filmmakers, musicians, artists and audiences meet on equal ground.

When is SilverVox Film & Music Festival?

The festival takes place June 18-21, 2026.

Where is SilverVox Film & Music Festival?

The festival takes place at nine venues located in and around Downtown Frederick, MD. These venues include Weinberg Center for the Arts, Warehouse Cinemas, New Spire Arts, Maryland Ensemble Theater (MET), YMCA Ausherman Arts Center (YAAC), Delapaine Arts Center, Sky Stage, Frederick Center, JoJos, 7th Sister and more!

How do I submit a film, music act, or discussion/workshop to SFMF?

SilverVox offers dedicated pages to submit film, music, and speaker/workshop programming:

  • Submit a film (closed)
  • Submit a musical artist/band (closed)
  • Submit a talk/panel/workshop (closed)

How do passes and tickets work?
VIP passes will get holders 4-Day All-Access to Film, Music, and Talk events* as well as the Opening and Closing Night parties and special VIP/Artist lounges. All passholders must reserve tickets to each of the events they wish to attend.   If an event is sold out or at capacity, VIP passes also guarantee a spot on a Priority Waiting List. Day passes will get holders single day access to all film/music and talk events. Individual event tickets provide access for single programmed events.

Passholders can reserve tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

Stay tuned for specific on-sale dates by following us on Facebook and Instagram.

*subject to capacity

What is the difference between a “pass” and a “ticket?”

A Pass gets you access to secure tickets to any/all individual performances/films.  A Day Pass will allow you to secure tickets ahead of time for film/music/talk events throughout your chosen day.  A VIP Pass will grant you access to all 4 days including Opening/Closing parties and the Artist/VIP lounge.  Pass holders will need to reserve tickets to each performance they wish to attend.

A ticket secures your spot at an individual performance, film or talk.  Tickets will go on sale in Late May.  Passholders will be able to reserve tickets before they go on sale to general public.

A Day or VIP Pass will be the best way to experience SilverVox Film and Music Festival!  If you only want to come to one or two events, individual tickets might be the way to go, however some events may sell out quickly.

When do submissions to SFMF close?

The final extended deadline for film submissions is March 21, 2026 with accepted entries notified by April 17, 2026.

Music acts and speaker/workshop/panel submissions are now being considered on a rolling basis until the festival’s full programming is locked in. We recommend submitting these applications ASAP!

What is the program schedule for SilverVox Film & Music Festival?

The program schedule will roll out in phases. The festival has already announced its marquee screening of Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror. We anticipate the full slate of music acts, films, speakers, and panels announced by mid-May. The full programming schedule will be released by the beginning of June.
